This summer, do something entirely different - Join our summer camp in Shanghai, China!
Discover Camp China has teamed up with the prestigious Shanghai International Studies University (SISU) to offer you a customized summer camp program to learn Mandarin Chinese and the Chinese culture. For the first time, SISU is opening its doors through Discover Camp China to allow 60 US teenagers (age 11 to 18) to attend a 3 or 4 week summer camp to get to know China up close and personal.
Everyone talks about globalization. We can help bridge the culture gap one family at a time, by introducing this unique and meaningful opportunity to you and your family. You don't need to have prior Chinese language knowledge to enroll in our summer program. A placement assessment will take place on the first day of our summer camp to place you in the appropriate level language class.
Aside from learning Chinese, we also offer a variety of fun programs such as
- Chinese calligraphy (书法)
- Chinese Kung Fu (中国武术)
- Paper-Cutting(剪纸)
- Chinese Chess (中国象棋)
and much more.
Weekend excursions let you see cities of Shanghai (上海), Suzhou (苏州), Hangzhou (杭州), Zhouzhuang (周庄), meet local Chinese teenagers, and greet world famous pandas in the Shanghai zoo.
Sending your child abroad to study is not an easy decision for any parents. The number one priority at our summer camp is to provide a nurturing and safe environment for every camper. An experienced camp counselor is assigned to every 4-5 campers on a 24x7 bases. See for yourself about our state of the art gated camp facility.
At Discover Camp China, we also realize the importance of communications between campers and their families. We'll utilize the Blog section of this website to provide daily updates of our camp activities. The forms of communication would include texts, photos and videos.
